This is the ZX1200 R model variant of the Kawasaki range, available to buy at Steel City Classics.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R is a legendary "hyperbike" produced from 2000 to 2006, designed to challenge the Suzuki Hayabusa for top speed supremacy. Featuring an 1,199cc inline-four engine and a unique monocoque frame, it produces up to 178–190 hp (with ram air) and boasts an exhilarating, raw riding experience.


The ZX-12R was Kawasaki’s flagship answer to the high-speed wars of the early 2000s. It pushed the boundaries of aerodynamics and engine performance, originally intended to break the 200 mph mark. Instead of traditional twin-spar frames, it pioneered a lightweight aluminum monocoque chassis that arched over the engine, providing excellent high-speed stability and nimble handling for its size.Because the industry introduced a voluntary 186 mph (299 km/h) speed limit shortly after the bike's release, it holds a fascinating place in motorcycle
